In the first quarter of 2026, the global flexible printed circuit (FPC) industry entered a boom cycle characterized by rising volumes and prices. Synergistic demand from multiple downstream sectors—including consumer electronics, automotive electronics, and smart devices—drove a surge in orders across the entire product line, encompassing standard FPCs, PET transparent FPCs, keypad FPCs, custom-shaped FPCs, antenna FPCs, FPC reinforcements, and FPCs specifically designed for gaming consoles.
Data shows that contract prices for high-end FPC products rose by 33%–38% in the first quarter of 2026, with significant price premiums for high-density, ultra-thin, high-flex, and custom-shaped boards. As foldable devices, in-vehicle connectivity, and smart wearable devices rapidly gain traction, market demand for transparent substrate FPCs, precision keypad FPCs, non-standard custom-shaped FPCs, and in-vehicle antenna FPCs is growing at a rapid pace; Technological advancements in FPC reinforcement materials have led to the widespread adoption of high-adhesion, high-heat-resistance, and ultra-thin reinforcement solutions for structural reinforcement across various flexible circuit board types, continuously raising the industry’s technical barriers. Meanwhile, the gaming electronics sector is undergoing accelerated innovation. Specialized, high-reliability flexible circuits for gaming consoles, leveraging their superior bend resistance, anti-interference capabilities, and miniaturization, have emerged as a new growth highlight in this niche segment.
