They are suitable for applications with limited space or requiring irregular shapes (such as wearable devices, automotive interiors, and gaming consoles); PCBs (printed circuit boards) use rigid substrates, offering structural stability and high hardness, making them suitable for applications requiring high structural strength (such as LED lighting fixtures and industrial control equipment). The two can be combined to form rigid-flex boards, leveraging the advantages of both rigidity and flexibility.
